Our Story
Hello! I'm Jacque Brown, one of the Directors/Owners of The Beanstalk Childcare & Academy. We've been nurturing young minds in the Omaha metro area for 20 years. My journey includes experience as a Lead-Teacher with all age groups and a summer internship coaching children and adults with disabilities.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from The University Of Nebraska at Omaha. Post-graduation, I served as a Residential Manager for Eastern Nebraska Office On Retardation (ENCOR), overseeing staff and state-licensed facilities. Later, I transitioned to a Developmental Disability Coordinator role with The Department Of Health and Human Services of Nebraska (DHHS).
As a parent, grandmother, and college graduate, I firmly believe that the first 5 years are critical for a child's development. That's why my husband and I established Beanstalk Childcare & Academy in 2005. We recognized a need for a nurturing environment that encourages growth for children, parents, teachers, and the community alike. Our approach uses a proven team model.
We currently operate one commercial building and are eager to expand. Our focus is on Positive Reinforcement, Developmental Enhancements through a structured curriculum, and providing a loving, supervised environment year-round.
One of our main goals focuses on helping prepare Preschoolers for Kindergarten as well as assisting other students with social, developmental, cognitive, and educational success. To supplement our goals, we have a computer center that is accessible for all students, a library that encourages reading, and a summer program that includes field trips. Above all, they would radiate positivity and optimism, fostering an environment where children feel confident to take risks, learn, and develop into their best selves.
